The Advertising Production Club of New York has begun its 2017 selection process for the prestigious APPY Awards. These awards honor members of our community from both the Agency/Corporate and Vendor/Service sectors that have demonstrated leadership in their respective companies and a commitment toward the advancement of our industry. In addition, awards are periodically given to a Rising Star in the industry or to honor someone for their Lifetime Achievement to the Advertising/Graphic Arts/Communications industries.

Think about your colleagues and your clients that you work with every day and consider giving them the recognition they deserve by nominating them for this notable award.

  • Advertising Production Person of the Year – Vendor/Service Industry
  • Rising Star

Anyone is eligible to submit nominations and is encouraged to do so, either for themselves or for an individual they feel meets the criteria detailed on the nomination forms.

Women Transforming Media – Education Event


The Education Committee for the APC is pleased to announce the next Education Event in September that kicks off another awesome year: Women Transforming Media

A partnership effort between the APC and the Media Management Graduate Program at the New School.

Save the date -September 28thfor an incredible discussion with some of the biggest and brightest names in all forms of Media. Topics will lead us through an incredible journey of some of the best stories in media that will inspire, teach and allow all of us an opportunity to exchange industry knowledge and insight. We will talk about the trends taking place as media continues to converge, because TECHNOLOGY continues to re-define it through all channels. This panel and the audience participation will providea serious and insightful sample of 'media-fluency as we discover the impact MEDIA has on all us, and the industries we represent.

Shelley Diamond is the Chief Client Officer at Young & Rubicam, serves on Y&Rs Executive Board and is practice lead for Y&R Inspire Change. She is a passionate builder of global brands and business, with expertise in integrating and activating platforms across communications disciplines. As one of the highest-ranking female executives in advertising, Diamond has helped champion marketing transformation for domestic and global clients, in both the consumer and B-to-B spaces. She has a unique understanding of the world of giving from her experience working with global brands such as Campbells, Xerox, Dell and Tyson, and nonprofit organizations such as UNCF, UNICEF, Ad Council and the United Nations. Throughout her career, driving social-good initiatives and partnerships for our for-profit and nonprofit client partners has been her passion, both personally and professionally. Diamond is committed to Y&Rs women in leadership initiatives. She is both an advocate and a mentor for women across industries and geographies. She serves on the board of W.O.M.E.N. in America, and is a pioneering mentor of the Fortune / U.S. State Department Global Mentoring Partnership. Her honors include being named the 11th Most Powerful Woman in Advertising by Business Insider in 2013, and in 2005 she was recognized as a "Working Mother of the Year by AWNY and Working Mother magazine. Kaitlyn is a strategist on the Upfronts team supporting YouTube. Prior to joining Google, she worked agency-side in communication planning for clients including P&G and Pfizer, spending the majority of her career at Carat. While currently she is focused on video planning, she previously planned across media and for a variety of audiences.
